The Sierra Leone Police has reshuffled thirteen senior and middle-ranking officers as part of a fresh administrative reorganisation across its divisions.
The changes are contained in Transfer Order Number 246, dated October 2, issued by the Directorate of Human Resource Management.
Those affected include one Assistant Inspector General, two Assistant Commissioners, six Chief Superintendents, three Superintendents and two Assistant Superintendents.
Assistant Commissioner John F. Tumbay, formerly Local Unit Commander of Central Division, becomes Acting Director of Training, replacing Assistant Inspector General Francis B. Meinday, who has proceeded on medical leave.
Assistant Commissioner Khrushchev Kargbo moves from Kissy Division to Port Loko Division, while Chief Superintendent Alphonso A. Fambulleh takes over Kissy Division.
Other Chief Superintendents posted as Local Unit Commanders are Emmanuel Kpulun to Central, Osman Kamara to Kenema, Joshua Faya to Masiaka and John Koroma to Harbour.
Superintendent Edward Sesay goes to Kailahun Division as commander.
The police say the changes are routine human resource management, meant to strengthen deployment and leadership.
All affected officers are to assume their new assignments as directed.
