Police Open New Clinic to Improve Healthcare for Personnel in Kono

It will serve police personnel and residents of surrounding communities.

The facility forms part of Inspector-General William Fayia Sellu’s efforts to improve personnel welfare, decentralise essential services and strengthen relations between the police and the public.

It was unveiled on October 9th, at a ceremony attended by health officials, paramount chiefs, the Senior District Officer, the Commanding Officer of the 9 Infantry Battalion, human rights groups, business people and other stakeholders.

The Police Medical Superintendent, Dr John M. Konteh, outlined the clinic’s capacity.

He called on development partners, communities and philanthropists to support its operation and expansion.
