SLRSA Intensifies Crackdown on Unroadworthy Trucks to Protect Road Users
The Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority has intensified enforcement against trucks that are considered unsafe for public roads.
SLRSA Executive Director James Bagie Bio said some of the vehicles were in very poor condition and posed serious risks to road users.
He said the owners had previously been warned and advised to repair their vehicles and make them roadworthy.
According to Bio, some owners failed to follow the instructions, leading the Authority to impound the vehicles.
The action is part of SLRSA’s efforts to enforce road safety standards and remove dangerous vehicles from the roads.
