SLFA Completes NLe100,000 Payment to Family of Late Footballer Bureh Ganso Koroma

The Sierra Leone Football Association says it has completed a payment of one hundred thousand New Leones to the family of late footballer Bureh Ganso Koroma, a former player of Mighty Blackpool FC.
The amount includes 75,000 New Leones from the SLFA and 25,000 New Leones from Mighty Blackpool FC.

According to the SLFA, Mighty Blackpool paid its contribution into the Association’s account on March 13, 2026. However, an administrative omission resulted in the contribution being left out of the initial payment.

The Association has accepted responsibility for the delay and expressed regret to the bereaved family. It says the full amount has now been paid.
