SLCAA Shut Down Viral Drug Bust Claims at Lungi Airport

Social media lit up this week with claims of a major drug bust aboard a Brussels Airlines flight at Freetown International Airport. Now, aviation authorities are setting the record straight — it never happened.

The Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority says the story, which alleged a large drug seizure on July 30th, is completely false, with no such incident taking place involving Brussels Airlines or any other aircraft at Lungi.
