Sierra Leone Police Receives Notice Of Peaceful Protest Over Alleged Constitutional Violations

The Citizens Advocacy Network has notified police of a planned peaceful protest on Wednesday, August 26th, over alleged constitutional violations in the amendment process.

The procession will run from Lumley Beach through Stadium Car Park, Savage Street and Siaka Stevens Street to State House.

CAN says it expects a large turnout and has asked police for crowd management and security support.

Copies of the notification went to Parliament, the AG, the UN, EU and several diplomatic missions.
