SEND Sierra Leone Calls for Urgent Action on Makeni–Kamakwie Road Corridor

END Sierra Leone and the Network Movement for Justice and Development (NMJD) have called for urgent Government action to address challenges affecting the Makeni–Kamakwie road corridor, describing the route as a critical lifeline for communities, livelihoods, healthcare, trade and local economic development.

According to the organisations, the infrastructure challenges are affecting the movement of people and goods, increasing transportation costs and disrupting livelihoods. They also warned that the situation is creating serious difficulties for residents seeking emergency healthcare.
