Plan International Sierra Leone joined the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education and partners including Imagine Worldwide, SEND Sierra Leone, VSO, EducAid and RisingAcademy for a strategic review of the Pikin Tab digital learning programme, which aims to reach around 4,000 schools by 2030.

MBSSE leadership reaffirmed that digital learning is central to education’s future, while Plan’s Peter Koroma and Yankuba Forbie highlighted the programme’s value for children and communities.

Discussions focused on teacher capacity, community ownership and sustainability, and the meeting agreed to pursue an official national launch alongside stronger collaboration with district education offices and community leaders.
