NRA Seals Mineret Company Over US$1 Million Tax Debt

The National Revenue Authority has sealed Mineret Company Limited over $1 million in unpaid taxes, in what it’s calling the start of a wider enforcement push.

The September 1 action was carried out by the NRA’s Non-Tax Revenue Department as part of an effort to boost compliance and domestic revenue.

The Authority says it plans to extend similar action to ten more businesses, though it hasn’t named them or disclosed amounts owed.

It’s urging all taxpayers with outstanding liabilities to settle promptly, warning of further enforcement for those who don’t comply.
