MBSSE and SEND Sierra Leone Roll Out Pikin Tab Learning Program in Kenema District
SEND Sierra Leone, in collaboration with the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE), has officially launched and conducted the rollout training for the Pikin Tab learning program in Kenema District, with support from Imagine Worldwide.
According to SEND Sierra Leone, the launch took place last week and marked the beginning of a three-day teacher training and stakeholder engagement session aimed at strengthening digital learning and improving foundational literacy and numeracy outcomes in early grade classrooms.
SEND Sierra Leone stated that the training brought together educators, local authorities, and key education stakeholders from across the district.
The organization explained that the sessions were designed to equip teachers with practical skills to effectively integrate tablets into daily classroom instruction, monitor pupil progress, and enhance overall learning outcomes.
