Keister and Da Rosa on Scouting Mission in UK
Sierra Leone’s head coach Didier Gomez Da Rosa and technical director John Keister have traveled to the United Kingdom on an official scouting mission. Joined by a UK-based scout, the pair are meeting with overseas-based players and their clubs to find fresh Sierra Leonean talent. The trip is part of the football association’s push to strengthen the national squad, the Leone Stars, by bringing in the best players eligible to represent the country.
The technical team will spend a week in the UK before returning home to step up preparations for upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Sierra Leone is set to face Zimbabwe and Equatorial Guinea in crucial matches between September and October. Football officials hope these new talent searches will build a stronger, more competitive team to secure a place in the 2027 tournament.
