‘I Miss Salone Food’ Mariyam Konneh Reflects on Miss World Journey After Six Days in Vietnam

Sierra Leone’s Miss World 2026 representative, Mariyam Lorba Konneh, has shared her experience after six days of activities in Vietnam.

Konneh said she is enjoying the international pageant and meeting contestants from different countries, but she admitted that she misses Sierra Leonean food, especially cassava leaf, okra stew and achekeh.

She also said she is using the Miss World platform to showcase Sierra Leonean culture and identity to the world, while expressing gratitude for the opportunity and support from Sierra Leoneans.

During Day Six, Konneh and other contestants took a break at Dream Dragon Resort, where they enjoyed beach activities including jet-skiing, filming and other pageant engagements.
