High Court Transfers Lolo Simeon and Kings Empire’s Legal Battle to Civil Division

The High Court of Sierra Leone has moved a major legal case involving media personality Babina “Lolo” Simeon and Kings Empire to its General Civil Division. Presiding judge Justice A. Fisher ruled that the dispute must be transferred out of the Fast Track Commercial Court because it involves broader civil issues beyond basic business law.
The case includes serious claims such as breach of contract, emotional harm, and defamation. Justice Fisher decided these mixed claims require the wider authority of a general court to ensure all arguments are properly heard and judged fairly.
