Government Clarifies U S Investment Plans for Lungi Bridge

Information Minister Chernor Bah says government is courting U.S. private-sector investment — not direct American government funding — to finally build the long-awaited Freetown-Lungi Bridge.

Speaking on AYV, Bah said negotiations with U.S. investors have been ongoing, describing the arrangement as a commercial deal rather than foreign aid, with American firms expected to benefit from Sierra Leone’s growing economy once terms are finalised.
