Four Men Remanded for Forgery, Money Counterfeiting and Illegal Firearm Charges
Four men appeared before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah at Pademba Road Court No.1 on Wednesday, 22 October 2025, charged in a 17 count indictment that includes counterfeiting, forgery, conspiracy and illegal possession of firearms.
The defendants – Umar Baimba Kamara, Joseph Kabia alias Manager, Alhaji Moseray Kabba and Momoh Kamara-were arraigned following a police operation that, the prosecution says, uncovered a sophisticated currency printing setup and a cache of weapons and ammunition.
The indictment lists offences including Conspiracy to Defraud, Conspiracy to Commit Felony, Possession of Forged Bank Notes, Counterfeiting of Bank Notes, and Forging Bank Notes contrary to Section 2(1)(c) of the Forgery Act 1913.
