ECOWAS Endorses Nigeria Morocco Gas Pipeline in Freetow

The Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on Sunday hosted the signing of an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) for the development of the Nigeria-Morocco African Atlantic Gas Pipeline (AAGP) in Freetown.

The nearly 6,800-kilometre pipeline will transport natural gas from Nigeria to Morocco, where it will connect to the European gas network, marking a major step in regional energy integration.
