East End Lions Miss Chance to Beat 10 Man Ports Authority in League Opener

Ports Authority held East End Lions to a goalless draw in the opening match of the Leone Rock Premier League season.

The game was played at the Trade Centre Field on Sunday, October 11th.

Ports Authority played much of the match with ten men.

East End Lions started strongly in front of their home fans, creating early chances.

But the hosts struggled to break down a disciplined defence.

Ports Authority gradually settled, with Abass Conteh and Musa Kamara combining in attack, but they could not convert their chances.

In the forty-first minute, Abu Bakarr Conteh was sent off for a second yellow card.

Despite that, Ports Authority stayed organised, and goalkeeper Saio Conteh made several important saves to keep the score level at half-time.
