Deteriorating Mano Junction–Bumpeh Road Drives Up Cost of Living in Kenema District

Residents and traders in Kenema District have called for the immediate rehabilitation of the Mano Junction–Bumpeh road, warning that its deteriorating condition is driving up the cost of living and disrupting economic activities across several communities.
The road, which serves as a vital transport link connecting Mano Junction to Bumpeh, Tongo and neighbouring towns, has reportedly fallen into a state of disrepair, making the movement of people and goods increasingly difficult. Commuters and transport operators say the damaged sections of the road have led to longer travel times, increased vehicle maintenance costs and higher fuel consumption.
