MBSSE Gives Schools Final Deadline as 1,927 NPSE Results Remain Unpublished
The Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education has given schools a final 24-hour extension to submit outstanding continuous assessment and school-based scoring records for pupils who sat the 2026 NPSE. The ministry says 1,927 examination results remain unpublished, with about 86% of the outstanding results linked to schools that have not submitted the required CAS scores. CAS contributes 10% to a pupil’s final examination grade. The ministry says failure to submit these scores could cause pupils to lose marks and affect their transition to secondary school. MBSSE says it is concerned that administrative failures by some school authorities could disadvantage some pupils who have already completed their academic responsibilities. The ministry has warned that schools that miss the final deadline could face serious consequences, whilst the West African Examination Council may also charge for late data entry. MBSSE is therefore urging all affected schools to submit the outstanding records immediately so that the results can be processed and released without further delay.
