APC Goes to Court Over Constitutional Amendment

The All-People’s Congress says it will challenge the recently passed Constitutional Amendment Bill in court.

APC Flagbearer Aspirant Ady Macauley says the party’s next move is judicial intervention over what he calls the “purported amendment” of the Constitution.

The APC’s concerns centre on whether the required two-thirds voting threshold was properly met in Parliament.

The party is expected to ask the courts to determine whether the process complied with the 1991 Constitution.
