ACC to Withhold Salaries and Dismiss Public Officers Over Asset Declaration Defaults
Sierra Leone’s Anti-Corruption Commission has warned public officials that failing to declare their assets could cost them their jobs. Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, Operations Coordinator Patrick Sandi announced that enforcement action will begin once the online portal closes on August 31.
Officials who miss the deadline will receive a 14-day notice to submit their details. Continued failure to comply will lead to a one-month salary block, which can extend up to three months before leading to full dismissal from office.
