Defending the Defenders Sierra Leone’s Environmental Activists Get a Protective Shield

Green Scenery has launched a new project to shield environmental rights defenders from legal intimidation, as the group itself fights a defamation suit linked to its land-rights advocacy in Pujehun.

Fifteen staff have been trained in legal literacy, and fifty community representatives are learning safe advocacy and digital security.
