94 Young People Graduate From Drug Rehabilitation Programme
A total of 94 young people, including 85 males and nine females, have graduated from a national drug rehabilitation programme as “Ambassadors of Positive Change.” The ceremony took place at the Hastings Peacekeeping Training Centre, marking another step in Sierra Leone’s efforts to tackle substance abuse and help young people rebuild their lives.
Government officials confirmed that the latest group brings the total number of graduates from the national rehabilitation scheme to over 1,000. Representatives from the United Nations, ECOWAS, and local authorities urged families and communities to reject stigma and fully support the graduates as they return home.
