Government Plans Local Production of Degree Certificates to Reduce Delays — Dr. Wurie

Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Higher Education is planning to print university degree certificates locally to tackle long delays for graduates. Higher Education Minister Dr. Haja Ramatulai Wurie said the move aims to speed up the process, which currently leaves some students waiting months for their qualifications.
The government has recently upgraded its national printing office through a partnership with a Chinese firm. This modernization has boosted printing capacity and introduced advanced security features, making local production a viable and safe option.
