Court Orders APC to Conduct Nationwide Delegate Elections Within 21 Days

The High Court of Sierra Leone has ordered the All People’s Congress, APC, to conduct delegate elections across the country within 21 days.

Justice Adrian J. Fisher also extended an earlier order preventing the party’s current national executives from presenting themselves as the official national leadership.

The court said the question of whether the executives’ tenure has expired will be fully decided when the main case is heard.

However, the former National Chairman and Secretary-General have been allowed to provide administrative support because they are signatories to the party’s bank accounts.
