APC Port Loko Chairman Suma Apologizes to Party Members Over Legal Challenge on Tenure Extension
Outgoing Port Loko Chairman of the All People’s Congress, Ali Suma, has apologized to party supporters unhappy with his decision to seek legal clarification over the extension of the party’s executive tenure.
Suma says his court action was meant to get clarity on the law, but admits it fueled tension within the APC. He’s since instructed his lawyer to withdraw the matter from court.
Records show the actual interim injunction against the APC executive — issued August 27th — came from a separate ex parte application filed by Alfred Peter Conteh and Hon. Mohamed Sheridan Kamara.
