Musa Tarawally Vows Legal Action Over SLPP Directive on Dual Party Membership Claim
SLPP leadership candidate Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally has vowed to take legal action after his party told him to stop using its logo and identifying as a member. The Sierra Leone People’s Party claims Tarawally is still affiliated with another party, the Citizens Democratic Party, which invalidates his candidacy.
Tarawally strongly rejects the claim, insists he resigned from the rival party back in 2018, and says he is a fully paid-up SLPP delegate. He argues that the national chairman lacks the authority to single-handedly cancel his membership without following proper internal procedures.
