Osman Timbo Seeks PPRC Intervention Over APC Constituency Elections

Former APC Member of Parliament Hon. Osman Timbo has written to the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC), requesting its intervention over the conduct of the All People’s Congress (APC) lower-level constituency elections.

In a statement issued after the party postponed its constituency elections, Timbo argued that where a candidate is unopposed at the close of nominations, there should be no election, insisting that such candidates should instead be declared duly elected in line with the 1991 Constitution and the Public Elections Act 2022.
