MCC Country Director Reaffirms U S Commitment to Strengthening Sierra Leone’s Energy Sector

Steven Grudda, Country Director of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), has reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to supporting Sierra Leone’s efforts to improve its energy sector, stressing that reliable electricity is essential for economic growth, social development, and foreign investment.
Grudda explained that the MCC, as an agency of the U.S. government, partners with countries that demonstrate strong governance and investments in their people while creating a conducive environment for American investors. He noted that Sierra Leone’s persistent electricity challenges continue to hinder national progress.
