The Secretary General is The Most Powerful Person in a Political Party First Lady Fatima Bio

The First Lady of Sierra Leone, Fatima Maada Bio, has emphasized the central role of the Secretary General in the effective administration of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), calling for stronger collaboration and deeper understanding of the party’s constitution
Speaking as keynote speaker at the SLPP Women’s Council celebration, held in honour of Hawa Foray, the newly elected National Women’s Leader, the First Lady reaffirmed the women’s wing’s commitment to supporting Foray’s leadership. She also extended appreciation to the party’s Secretariat for its continued service.
Mrs. Bio used the occasion to clarify what she described as a widespread misunderstanding about party hierarchy and constitutional roles. She noted that in political parties around the world, the Secretary General remains the most powerful administrative figure.
